I want more faith. Do you? Faith that God’s promises of forgiveness are really true. Faith that my life is truly in God’s hands. Faith that heaven is real, even though I can’t see it. Faith that there is someone in control of our out-of-control world. Faith that I’m not alone. I want more faith. I bet you do too! It’s just that faith isn’t something we create on our own. It doesn’t come from our thoughts or our experiences.
Want more faith? “Faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ” (Romans 10:17). Where does faith come from? Hearing the message about Jesus. I bet you’ve noticed that in your own life. The more you hear God’s Word, the more you read the Bible, the more your faith grows. That’s why the devil puts a thousand excuses into our hearts and minds to not make time for God’s Word. He knows the power of the Word! The Word is where you hear about Jesus. Where you hear about full and free forgiveness for your sins. Where you hear about heaven. Want more faith? Faith comes from hearing the message! What part of God’s Word are you going to read today?
