Feeling Thirsty?

“I can’t anymore…” Said that recently? Feeling tired? Thirsty? Maybe something worse… Feeling empty? Like you have nothing to offer? Tired of trying? Feeling the weight of your sins and their sins and your failures and their failures? The devil’s going to tell you that there’s no hope. But the devil’s a liar!

Listen to God’s invitation: “Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost. Why spend money on what is not bread, and your labor on what does not satisfy? Listen, listen to me, and eat what is good, and your soul will delight in the richest of fare” (Isaiah 55:1).

Here’s God’s invitation to you—come! If you’re thirsty, come for water and wine and milk… Of course, God isn’t talking about physical food, although that comes from him too. He invites you to be refreshed in God’s forgiveness. Be filled with God’s love. Be restored by God’s grace. Sounds good, doesn’t it? Here’s the best part: How much does it cost? “Without cost.” Free by the blood of Jesus! Come, eat what is good. Listen, listen to Jesus!
