What messages seem to be coming out of Christianity today? “Get rich quick!” “Seven steps for an easy life.” “If we can just get the right political party in control…” How sad. How foolish! The message of the Bible isn’t about earthly wealth or about establishing our own kingdoms on earth. It’s so much better!
As the apostle Paul traveled around the world, this is the message he shared: “Therefore, my friends, I want you to know that through Jesus the forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you. Through him everyone who believes is set free from every sin” (Acts 13:38-39). Through Jesus Christ your Savior, you have something that no amount of money could ever buy: Forgiveness of sins and peace with God. Through faith in Jesus, you are a citizen of a kingdom way better than even the United States of America: The kingdom of God! Let’s share the message that Paul preached: Freedom and forgiveness through Jesus!
