I bet I know two things you need as you enter a new week: Grace and peace. Would you agree? Here they are: “Grace and peace be yours in abundance through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord” (2 Peter 1:2). Wouldn’t it be great if grace and peace would abound—overflow!—in your life this week?
They can “through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.” I know that all the things we know about the pandemic don’t bring much grace or peace. I know that all the things you know about yourself and your sinful heart don’t bring much grace or peace. But there’s another thing you’re blessed to know: Jesus our Lord! You know that God created you and our world. There are no accidents! You know that Jesus died for your sins. You’re forgiven! You know that Jesus has prepared a room for you in heaven. There’s no doubt where you’re going! You know that God has the whole world—and this pandemic—in his hands. So do you know what’s yours? Grace and peace. Just what you need for a new week!
