Greater Love than Mom’s

Does it ever feel like God’s forgotten you? Left you? Abandoned you? That’s a terrible feeling isn’t it? In the struggles of life, the devil is constantly whispering in our ears, “God doesn’t care!,” just like he’s always done to God’s people. In the Old Testament, the Israelites cried out, “The Lord has forsaken me, the Lord has forgotten me” (Isaiah 49:14). I bet you know that feeling…

Here’s God’s response: “Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you!” (Isaiah 49:15). Could God possibly say it any clearer? Does a mother forget the baby she’s nursing? No way! Even if she did, God loves us even more! He proved it when he gave up his own Son to be our Savior. Don’t believe the devil’s lie. You are never forgotten!
