Let’s Fix Our Eyes on Jesus

It’s easy to get distracted. Especially on a Monday! Somehow, the weekend doesn’t make us rested. Instead, we’re more tired and exhausted. Problems don’t go away. Cares grow heavier. It’s easy to get distracted. Those distractions quickly begin to affect our faith. We forget what it’s all about. We lose our focus on what’s most important. We get immersed in the struggle of life. It’s easy to get distracted.

So the Bible gives us this simple, powerful reminder: “Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God” (Hebrews 12:2). For Jesus, there were no distractions. His eyes were laser-focused on you and me as he endured the cross, died for our sins, and opened heaven for us. That’s what it’s all about. The victory’s already been won! Nothing that happens in your life today can possibly change what Jesus has done for you. Don’t let the distractions get you down. Let’s fix our eyes on Jesus!
