Lost and Found

Being lost is not a good feeling. My family and I once hiked to the top of a mountain. It was great, until we started back down. Suddenly, the trail split into a bunch of little paths. We didn’t know where to go. We chose a path, but soon we realized we weren’t on any path at all. Worse yet, there was no cell coverage. No GPS. Just us in a dense forest. Lost. Let me tell you, being lost is not a good feeling!

I bet you know that. Maybe not hiking down a mountain. But I bet you’ve been hiking through life and gotten lost in all the little paths leading in all different directions. Being lost is not a good feeling. To feel like there’s no hope. To feel like no matter where you turn, it’s going to make it worse. Do you feel lost?

Then listen to these words from Jesus: “The Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost” (Luke 19:10). The message of the Bible isn’t, “You need to get your life back on track.” It’s, “Jesus came to seek and to save you.”

No matter where you’re at in your life, you’re not alone. Jesus is calling out to you in the Bible: “I love you! I’ve forgiven you! I have plans for you! I’ve prepared a place for you in heaven!” You are not lost, not when Jesus has you. You are found. Found and loved forever.
