No Exclusions on Grace

There are always exclusions, right? Everything comes with fine print. You go to the doctor and have to sign forms—lots of forms! You rent a car and have to sign forms—lots of forms! Your insurance policy comes with pages and pages of paperwork. Why? Because there are always exclusions. Always exceptions. That company is always there for you, except when…

But not God. Listen to his promise: “So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith, for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus” (Galatians 3:26-28). God offers you new life through faith in Jesus. He makes you his own child! Through baptism, God washes your sins away. He clothes you with Jesus’ perfection! Doesn’t that sound great?

So what are the exclusions? Just for Jews, right? Nope. God’s promises are for all nationalities. Just for men, right? Of course not. God’s promises are for men and women alike. Just for the wealthy, right? No way. Economic status doesn’t matter. There are no exclusions on God’s promises to you in Jesus.

Why? It’s called grace. Grace is God’s undeserved love. You can’t earn it. Nobody does! Grace is God’s gift to you in Jesus. The next time you see all the fine print, remember this: There are no exclusions on grace!
