A new poll came out recently that showed that almost half of young Christians think it’s wrong to encourage someone else to believe in Jesus. Isn’t that sad? Especially when Jesus came to seek and to save the lost! Stats like that shouldn’t surprise us, though, should they? Think of how often we’re bombarded with the message: “All gods are the same.” “It doesn’t matter what you believe, as long as you believe.” If that’s true, there would be no need to share our Christian faith with anyone.
It’s just that God says something completely different. When God’s people were surrounded by the false gods of their neighbors, he reminded them: “I, even I, am the LORD, and apart from me there is no savior” (Isaiah 43:11). Don’t let our world confuse you. All gods are not the same! Only one God gave up his throne to take our place on earth. Only one God—Jesus!—gave up his life for you on the cross. Only one God offers you forgiveness and eternal life, not by what you do, but by trusting in what he’s done for you. There is only one Savior: Jesus! Don’t be afraid to share him with others. No matter who it is, you can be sure of one thing: They need Jesus!
