Are your feet slipping? I’m not talking about slipping on ice or snow outside. Something far worse: Are your feet slipping… into depression? Into despair? Into lust? Into drunkenness? Into sin? Life is slippery, and there’s no worse feeling that watching yourself slip into darkness, feeling powerless to stop.
If you’re slipping today, I want you to know that there is Someone holding on to you. The Lord! Listen: “When I said, ‘My foot is slipping,’ your unfailing love, LORD, supported me” (Psalm 94:18). Life isn’t about how strong you are. Life depends completely on the unfailing love of our God. There is no sin that Jesus didn’t die to forgive. There is no darkness strong enough to cover Jesus’ light. That’s what “unfailing” means! There is nothing in life that can separate you from Jesus’ love. When it feels like your feet are slipping, may the unfailing love of God support you. Jesus is holding on to you!
