Are you anxious? Who isn’t! As you enter a new week, I bet there are plenty of things weighing down your heart and mind. So here’s some encouragement from our friend Paul in the Bible: “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God” (Philippians 4:6). I don’t know what you’re facing this week, but God does. He invites you to bring it all to him in prayer. As bad as things seem, you don’t have to be anxious. God’s got this!
And here’s what God wants to give to you: “And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:7). What’s the result for you and me when we trust in God? Peace. Peace from Jesus’ forgiveness. Peace from God’s everlasting love. Peace from God’s plan for each of our lives. When you cast your cares on Jesus, he gives you his peace through his Word. You know the answer to anxiety! May Jesus’ peace guard your heart and mind this week.
