You won! Did you know that? Maybe you’re wondering, “Won what?” Listen: “‘Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?’ The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ” (1 Corinthians 15:55-57).
You won! God wants you to know that. Jesus gives you the victory. He lived perfectly in your place to fulfill all the commands of God’s law. He died in your place to suffer for you the sting of death and sin. He rose in your place to assure you of victory. You won! Your sins are already forgiven. Death is already defeated, because heaven is already yours through faith in Jesus. You won!
So, “where, coronavirus, is your victory? Where, coronavirus, is your sting? You can’t take away from me what Jesus has already won for me. Life now and life in heaven.” Either way, there’s victory! You won.
